Ron’s Hip Resurfacing with Dr. Kusuma 2010
Ron’s Hip Resurfacing with Dr. Kusuma 2010
My name is Ron and I am 65 years old. I have always been a busy body and love to work outside on my pool and then yard. I have always been an active person. 3 years ago, I began having pain in my left hip that caused me to limp and I was unable to do a lot of things that I normally would do.
I went to see Dr. Kusuma at Grant Medical Center. He informed me that I had hip OA. He gave me a steroid shot and I felt great…for only a week, unfortunately. Next step was surgery. I was a candidate for a BHR. I had the surgery in October 2010.
Upon waking from anesthesia, the arthritic pain was GONE!! Of course, there was the typical postoperative pain and soreness but by the third week, I was wanting to lose the walker and cane. I was given home exercises to do but no outpatient physical therapy was needed!
I can’t say how much I recommend this surgery!
It was a life saver. Thanks to Dr. Kusuma for his wonderful work!
