I had two hip resurfacings – one on each side – within 5 months of each other in 2007. Surgery was at Columbia in NYC with Dr. Macaulay. Used Birmingham device in both.

I have recently had a revision of my BHR to a THR because of high ion levels, even though I had no pain, nor any evidence of pseudotumor. My only symptom was a slipping or clunking sensation deep in the joint.
