The anterior vs. posterior debate isn’t going to be resolved by one study of electrode blood flow. Most surgeons would agree that blood flow to the femoral head (most of which comes backwards via the femoral neck) is theoretically better preserved through an anterior approach. 8 years and still going strong. 64 years, very active, hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, weight training, 3400 miles on road. gravel, and mountain bikes in 2016. Never any issues, hips totally pain free. Aches and elsewhere lol! Thanks to Pat for this site, great info. BHR’s changed my life.

July 4, 2010 I had my right hip resurfaced in February 09. Perhaps looking back I was a bit hasty to get back jumping but I did my first skydive 9 weeks after the op.
