I have a question, I went to the dentist last week and he thought I might have strep throat due to a white spot on my tonsil (sp?) , now I told him I felt great and he said to just keep an eye on it.  Well it's been almost a week and I still feel great but the spot is still there and may a little redness although I have no pain.  Do I need to get it checked out?  What type of infections are the bad ones that can get into your joints and possibly kill you?  I'm being cheap and don't to go the the clinic and pay the deductible when I feel great and it's probably nothing.  but am not sure if I should be getting it checked out asap.  thanks for any responses.

It may be nothing but get it checked out anyway. You certainly don't exhibit the usual signs and
symptoms of strep. That being said, go get it checked. Peace of mind has to worth something.
