I agree with Chuck and Steve. Before settling for THR talk with other doctors. You may still have THR, but at least you will know it was the best solution :)

You mean we actually agreed on something?    ;D

The only thing Chuck and I didn't totally agree on was which Dr. did we list first.  I listed Dr. Su and Chuck listed Dr. Gross.  Hey, that corresponds to our respective Drs.  Oh well, that's to be expected since we both had great outcomes.

Kelly:  Check out bernsber or Ben's posts regarding his complicated bilateral hip resurfacing surgery by Dr. Su last Fall.  He was turned down by Dr. Bose & Dr. DeSmet.

Kyle:  Thanks for the clarification of heresy vs hearsay.  What is heresay?  That's what Pat listed in her post.

From Wikipedia...
Hearsay is information gathered by Person A from Person B concerning some event, condition, or thing of which Person A had no direct experience. When submitted as evidence, such statements are called hearsay evidence. As a legal term, "hearsay" can also have the narrower meaning of the use of such information as evidence to prove the truth of what is asserted. Such use of "hearsay evidence" in court is generally not allowed. This prohibition is called the hearsay rule.

For example, a witness says "Susan told me she was cold". Since the witness did not experience Susan's coldness firsthand, the statement would be hearsay evidence to the fact that Susan was cold, and not admissible. However, it would be admissible as evidence that Susan claimed to be cold, and that she was capable of speaking at that time.

Hey Steve..... you know my doctor is better than yours now, right?  ;D  You're just jealous you did not get operated on by the bestest doctor in the world  ;)

All kidding aside, Su, Gross, Mont, DeSmet etc, you won't go wrong..... go with an experienced doctor you may regret it.

Hey Chuck - My left hip by Dr. Su will kick your butt (right hip) by Dr. Gross any day :)
If we ever need another hip resurfacing on the other side, you go to Dr. Su (he did install one uncemented Biomet) and I'll go to Dr. Gross (if he'll install a BHR) and we'll compare experiences ;)
I have cartilage in my right hip and the X-ray looks good.  How is your right hip?

Kyle:  Thanks for the definition of hearsay.  You missed my point - What is heresay (sic)?  That's what Pat referred to in her post.  After all she is an Engineer, like me, and not expected to get an A in spelling ???

Hey Steve, I don't think Dr. Su would be able to figure out how to do a cementless component again, from what I hear Dr. Gross had to be on the phone with Dr. Su so that Dr. Su did not put the components in backwards so how can I allow Dr. Su to do my left hip?  (JK)  ;D

I think if you kicked my butt Steve your cement would probably fall out   LOL  (jk)  ;D

My left hip (the one with my original joint) is still good, I asked Dr. Gross that the other day.  We may not be able to do that challenge.

I wish Dr. Gross did shoulders because I know my shoulders will need to be done at some point.

Anyhow glad to hear you're still doing well, even though your hip was done by a second rate surgeon   ;D (LOL) (JK)

----- To anyone reading this, Steve and I are only kidding---------
