I'd like to emphasize what Lop said about getting your images off to some of the best docs. I don't think they would mind taking a look at the images and telling you whether or not you are a candidate, especially if your case is unusual. It's potential business for them regardless of who's paying for it. My surgeon called me the day he got my images and we talked for about 20 minutes and he's super busy (and expensive).

I have to believe that many of the surgeons know each other and read each others work and I suspect if Treacy or McMinn or another UK surgeon heard that you had your images looked at by another top HR surgeon, it would give them more confidence that you are a good candidate (if that is indeed the case).

The 3 I sent them to were dr Bose, dr gross& dr de Smet. If you just google each name there web sites will come up.

I've heard those three are pretty good about giving some quick advice after looking at the images. My surgeon (Pritchett, 2600+ HRs) called me and discussed the images and HR for about 20 minutes after he received my images. He also answered a bunch of my questions by email after I saw him. It was him and not his assistant. I was pretty impressed. on the other hand, Boyd (600+ HRs) had his assistant schedule me for an appointment before getting to ask some questions. He was really good about answering questions once I went into him, though.

I think it's hit or miss, but based on what I've seen here on the forum, I think there are other surgeons than the ones mentioned that are happy to look at images and give some quick advice.
