I think many people don't plan ahead when posting on a discussion group.  It is easy to just post in the general category that we are feeling good, hurting, have pain, need help, etc etc. Also many people are in their post op period and on medications and not feeling too well. For new people wanting to read full, successful stories, it is helpful to have your posts collected together to make a story with a timeline.  I know the software here is not easy to use, but gradually, I am gathering many post op posts from people and combining them together in the Hip Stories section.  That way new people can go there and read your whole story without having to search for all your posts and bounce all over to read them.

SOOO, please don't get upset if you see some of your posts moved and gathered together with your other posts on the Hip Stories Section.  It really makes it easier to read the story if the posts are together and are generally positive posts about people's recoveries.  I also, periodically, come here and post the Hip Stories on the main section of the website.  That is indexed by surgeon and used by many people.  So if your posts are together, I can make a story to post on the main website.

The discussion group services two main purposes:
1. To give hip resurfacing patients support during and after surgery
2. To give new perspective patients information about other patient's surgeries

I also encourage patients to gather their own information to make a nice story telling why they needed surgery, how they choose a surgeon, information about their surgery and recovery. You can post your own story on the Hip Stories section here, or send it to me to post on the main website.  pwalter@surfacehippy.info I love to add updates with photos of healed patients being active!
