I dont know hern. I just think my GP is a Dick and he doesnt like me. I must admit the antibiotics seem to have done something ie its not hot or itchy anymore but its still there and is sore to the touch. Really dont know why he wont just send me to have it drained as its keeping me awake at night when i roll onto it it wakes me!

Bloody hell mate...how about making an appointment with a different GP at your surgery?
You don't have to see the same one...

They will only let me book an appointment with him at the practice tho allan. Unless he is away that won't let me see another gp.
As soon as I'm back at work in a couple of weeks I'm changing practice.

Almost makes you want to be your own darn surgeon. huh?   Geez, I'll drain that thing for you, I got a sweet set of tools and I'll be sure to sharpen and sterilize the box knife before we begin.  :o A buddy of mine had a nasty absess on his back and he had it opend and drained, professionally, and then we went on a remote bike trip.  It was my job to pull the gauze and repack it each day, so I have a little experience with that sort of thing, but never cut into anyone.  On second thought,  maybe you should get another GP.

To be fair the meds seem to have taken the heat and itch out of if but it's still sore to the touch and does wake me if I roll onto it at night. I have to see the idiot again next week to be certified fit to return to work so I'll brotch the subject again then. But once im back at work I'm changing practice!!
