I've tried Vitamin E oil and rubbing the scar, rolling it with wooden rolling pin, PT has used a metal instrument to get deep and break it up AND
last but not least:

I just got CUPPED!!! No kidding..... Don't try this at home  ;D

What have you tried and what worked the best?

Well, I have to say I've never been cupped, just hugged and held  ;D

For me, the foam roller worked wonders, massage of the area by my PT early on and light massage at a massage place later; I think also as you do more exercise, some will come loose.

I did have a strenuous massage about a month ago that had me limping for a week on my oldest hip. It was painful in places, but felt much better after the week went by. Don't know if that exorcised some of the scar tissue, it was pretty deep tissue, but have not had any issues from it and it does feel a bit looser (or I've convinced myself of that to excuse the experience).

That was after a year + and I'm not sure if I'll repeat the experience. I may, just ask her to tone it down.

Hay Luanna,
Having spoken to my mate whos a sports therapist and sports massage therapist about the scar tissue issue and he says he only knows of one way to break down scar tissue and thats deep tissue friction massage.(the type that aint plesant!) Im seeing him regularly now and although its painfull at the time the benefits are defiatly worth it!
