YIPEEEEE!!!!! First trail ride!

Today is the #1 best day since surgery.  I went to a local place called Chicopee Woods today, with my wife, and rode 10 miles of trails.  So much fun.  No pain, no stiffness.  Never noticed or thought about the hip even one time.

Okay, that's not entirely true.  I stuck to the intermediate trails (which are closer there to beginner trails, really) so that I had virtually no chance of a real wipeout.  And, there was one steep, rocky uphill that I decided to walk up, because falling there would have been bad (I would have done it before).  But, I've got nothing to prove, and it was so glorious being on the trail that I didn't care.

I'm sure, at some point, I'll push it and wipe out.  But, for now, I am one happy mountain biker.

I am one day shy of seven months.

Yea, my handle seems out of date, for sure.

I have a week of furlough I have to take soon (unfortunately), but I decided I'm going to go mountain biking every day of that week!

Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee is right.  I remember my first time back on the trails.  My wife got me out there much earlier than I had planned.   It's great to be back isn't it?

I don't think any other exercise makes my as happy as riding the trails.

I have a week of furlough I have to take next week, and I plan on going to the trails every single day!
