What do you guys think about eating rooster combs and chicken feet?  I heard from my PT that synthetic synovial fluid for syn injections is made with rooster combs and chicken feet.  Maybe that's all we need to do keep our synovial fluid topped up?

Actually I'm virtually certain that's available at the Chinese market.

And thanks, John and Danny. I'm going to look into both those two options.

I get one brand from simply supplements mate. There was one from althealth too but their website seems down now.

Well I might have got carried away as the free shipping offer was too tempting and had more tablets delivered than a chemist stocks!

I presume there is no issue with me taking separate high doses of Glucosamine, Marin Chondroitin and Hyaluronic Acid as you know what they say, in for a penny......

Now it might be placebo, but definitley feels a bit better 4 days on which is encouraging. Off to see Jeremy Latham next week as key for me now is avoiding leaving it too long and taking BHRS off the table;  I just don't feel mentally ready yet but I'd want to get through to this time next year to avoid being out of action over the nice Summer months and am a keen golfer. FAI + OA left hip is a really bad combo.

I don't understand why so many Ortho Docs give completely different information about device longevity. 10-15 years is unbelievable common. Yet published stats differ. Registries vary. It's all very confusing. How could anyone state a BHR will last 10-15 years if not abused? If based on his own stats, that doc should clarify.

Hi Canadian-Ice.  Don't know if you have watched/listened to the 3 short interviews with Derek McMinn elsewhere on the forum re the meta on metal debate from earlier this year.  They are really interesting and he explains in detail their 12 year data and the importance of differentiating between device and between surgical expertise (or lack of it) and what an enormous impact on results that can have.
In my experience as a patient and from 30 years in the wider healthcare industry, there are some fantastic orthopods but there are a lot to whom I wouldn't take next door's dog for an op! Careful research and selection of the right doctor/surgeon is vital (and Derek McMinn says as much in the video clips).

I've been taking that combo at very very high doses for nearly 2 years now and have nothing but good things to say about the effects!
