Hi Debbie and Lauren,
Thanks for your kind thoughts and advice. Debbie cycling is fun but  i do miss my running. Common sense tells me that my running days are behind me. It's amazing what cycling does for the mind and body.Will be interesting to see how long before we both back on the bike post op.

Just grateful to ride pain free and getting my leg over the top tube without a hassle in due course. Lauren so refreshing to hear of another success story. What a difference it must be. Can't wait to join you on the other side lol.
  Thank goodness for the advances in modern medicine, this site and the inspiring stories within.
Keep us posted, keep on posting and keep on smiling even if through gritted teeth.I plan to ride, stretch and watch my calorie intake right until surgery. I'm making up for lost time.
