The NHS is a strange set up which at times is very frustrating!!! I think I will move to America ......

Im sure I will come to some solution soon though. After my little tantrum yesterday I have now calmed down and am on a mission again and very hopeful

Oh I dont need to be on a mission anymore!!  ;D

I was on a mission this morning. I went to see my GP and as usual the little legend did exactly what I asked and has referred me to see Mr Witt In London. So now, im just waiting again for a date. Mr Witt is supposed to be one of the top dysplasia / PAO surgeons in the UK so I should be fine.

After reading what problems others have had with their GP's I think I will write a thank-you letter to mine in the hope that he continues in his ways to help others just as much as he has helped me. I think it is such a relief and bonus when you have someone fighting your corner.

Your GP sounds like a great person, Anna-what a result!
Also, Mr Witt sounds like one of the very best people possible for you to see, you're in good hands, I hope you get to see him quickly.

Well done Anna.  I think we are pretty reticent as a nation in demanding a better level of service.  If you don't ask you don't get and your health is too important for you not to get the best that is available. 

There are solutions to your problems just as there are obstacles.  The 'squeaking wheel gets the oil' may be an apt proverb for you.
