Bilateral Hip resurfacing done at age 32. Post surgery, surgeon told my family that the cartilage was missing from both hips and the operation was absolutely necessary.

RBHR at 59 was performed mostly due to torn and detached labrum, and mild to moderate OA. Done by Dr. Brooks at Euclid Ohio.

I am 25 years old and just got my left hip resurfaced with a BHR from dr. Brooks. Pain free!!!

Dr Amstutz 
76 when resurfaced. Now 4 years , no issues, very active. Hip was way past needing work, wife of 49 yrs had lymphoma, could not leave her. When she passed, Dr Amstutz agreed to work on hip. Took 3 hours, BUT no issues now. Ex F8 Crusader pilot, went to Midway in SD on 9th day after op.. climbed into F8  cockpit without assistance..
Currently finishing dream home (4th)..Building RV, and redecking a Formula 233 boat..
Dr A is a prince, it's too bad he is not 30 years old!
I tried to get hip done on east coast "I was too old" these dr's some day may be my age and need a resurf . Dr A took a really bad hip and gave me my life back..
