Good morning all, my first post on here. So I had a L/H BHR done 2 weeks ago and I'm having a few issues I was hoping for some input on. First, hip popping. I have read a few posts on here talking about it and that if there is no pain then it should be ok. But mine is popping almost 50% of the time. I am off the cane walking with almost no limp until I get tired, guess I'm a rabbit. I started OP PT a week out and no pain.

Second, I have also read about cases of numbness in the operative leg due to some sort of nerve damage. I also have numbness, but in my right thigh. At night trying to sleep my thigh feels like it is on fire but if I rotate my foot inward the pain goes away. My PCP put my on B12 dissovables to help repair the nerve that he thinks was damaged during surgery. Has anyone else had this issue and what helped with the pain?

Thank you in advance for the information.

The popping is normal unless it comes with pain.

My first was also my left, like yours - The popping is (I believe) tied to your smaller supporting muscles not being quite strong enough to keep things stable. It should get better with time.

Numbness -that's more complex. I had some numbness on both thigs at the beginning. Not real pain, but the nerves in that area were insulted a bit and needed to calm down. I still get some slight numbness when I exercise a fair amount or I'm in one position. Not much of anything, but a bit.

It's good that you've got your doctor involved, hopefully it attenuates and vanishes.
