Experienced PTs in DC or northern Virginia

I'm scheduled to have resurfacing of my left hip with Dr. Pritchett in 10 days.  Does anyone know of a PT in DC or northern Virginia who has experience working with hip resurfacing patients?  It would be especially good if the PT has worked with those who hope to return to running.  Thanks.

My only experience with a PT in DC was for something else entirely and that was a very long time ago. Finding PTs specific to hip resurfacing in DC will probably prove difficult. It's not a commonly performed surgery, and there are a lot of PTs. However, the recovery is much the same as for THR, and THRs and PTs experienced with THRs are a dime a dozen. I would concentrate on finding a good PT, preferably accustomed to dealing with hip surgery patients.

Catfriend, Thank you for your input.  I found your blog on your surgery with Dr. P. very informative!  I saw a PT today but he was a bit more generic than I had hoped and I could tell that he hadn't really dealt with a hip surgery patient.  I have a few more leads before my surgery on April 17.
