Does this mean I have a psuedotumor and need a revision?

I've been having increasing pain over the last few months after my 12/1/2017 BHR surgery. I just got my MRI report today:

"There is a periprosthetic fluid collection measuring approximately 4.1 x 1.2 x 5.8 cm  (transverse by AP by craniocaudal dimensions) with multiple septations and extending posteriorly from the posterior joint capsule and tracking inferiorly posterior to the intertrochanteric region."

To me, the "fluid collection" sounds like a psuedotumor, for which the only answer seems to be revision to a THR?

I also had a sizeable bone spur that actually broke off the anterior femoral head neck junction and has been moving around my hip joint for a couple of months, although my surgeon did not think that would cause that much pain.

I will be anxious to see what my surgeon says regarding the MRI report, I have also sent the report via email to some of the Dr's recommended on this site, and mailed in a package to Dr. Gross for his phone evaluation as well.

Wow. Sorry you are dealing with this! I can't even speculate what is needed for your situation, but I highly encourage you to send your information and images to Dr. Pritchett in Seattle. He has developed an approach to revisions that don't require a THR. He revised my 2006 resurfaced hip just 3 1/2 weeks ago by changing out the acetabulum cup and leaving the femoral component intact. So far, so good. Don't know if something like this would suffice for you, but it's worth checking out. Best of luck to you!
