14 Year Anniversary Hip Resurfacing with Dr. De Smet 2006

I celebrated my 14 year anniversary of my hip resurfacing with Dr. De Smet in 2006 on March 15, 2020.  I wrote an article about my hip resurfacing and how well it has worked for me.  I never had problems at all. I still believe hip resurfacing is a great option when people are good candidates. There are 5000+ members here, many have had hip resurfacing and believe the same thing.
It is still important to me to share information about hip resurfacing so more people can learn about it. I started the website in 2005 and continue to work on it daily. It shares an important message about hip resurfacing.  All 5000+ members here help others learn about hip resurfacing thru sharing their stories and experiences.  I share more than 1500 personal stories on the main website  https://surfacehippy.info/category/hip-resurfacing-stories

I try to watch posts here and collect them to make a story to share about the member. The posts here are available to be seen by the public, however it is nice to see whole stories as an article.  Any time members here want their stories told, just send them to me and I will post them on the main website.  The advantage of having stories on the main website is that Google is more easily able to list them when people search hip resurfacing stories.
I am happy with my hip resurfacing and would do again. I think most people feel the same way.  There are always a few people that have problems, but the large majority of folks have successful hip resurfacings and return to a pain free, active life.
I am still pretty active at 75 and hope to take my BHR to the grave with me.  LOL

Congratulations on your ongoing success.  So many of us have been fortunate you were an early and brave pioneer who's decision and commitment grew into this site and your worldwide assistance helping people everywhere to appreciate the strength of this procedure.

Congratulations and many thanks for developing and maintaining  this website!  I found it nearly 12 years ago before my LBHR and revisited last Autumn before my RBHR.  Expect both to last my lifetime and I've been using them extensively with high impact sporting activities!
