So glad I found the Surface Hippies! Oh my, how much we all have in common...the pain, the inconvenience and now...the solution. I've found the surfacehippy.info website to be a wealth of information. Thanks, Pat and all the others who have contributed. I've really appreciated the hip stories from other 30-somethings. I'm a 38 year-old wife and mom with bum left hip. Like many of you, osteoarthritis is to blame. It's keeping me from living the life I want to live. My daughter is 4 years old and I'm missing out! That's why I'm getting resurfaced by Dr. Scott Cook at Shawnee Mission Medical Center (suburban Kansas City) next Wednesday. Can't wait! Any patients out there of Dr. Cook's?
