Limitations of the inversion table for post-spine stretching

While inversion tables can be beneficial for post-spine stretching, they do have limitations and potential drawbacks

I gave mine away soon after surgery because I was unsure if stressing the hips would be a good idea.  Never checked with my surgeon although I suspect he wouldn't have disapproved its use after a reasonable period of recovery, maybe 6 months to a year.  The great news was that after surgery my back issues completely resolved themselves.  I'd ruptured a disc a couple decades earlier, had some other deteriorating disks, stenosis and had cracked a vertebra at the time of the rupture.  Refused surgery at that time but had recurring back issues over the years.  When the hips were resurfaced those earlier traumas were no longer any trouble.  5 years so far.  My surgeon also told me before surgery a spine surgeon would insist the hips get done first before any spinal surgery.  A little off your question but your spine issues may resolve without the inversion table.  Of course a regular stretching routine is essential post hip surgery anyway and the best person to ask this question would be your HR surgeon.  Best wishes.
