Dr. Bala in Coimbatore

Dear All,

Has anybody of you heard of Dr. Bala in Coimbatore, India? I am planning to see him for BHR surgery and was looking for some positive confirmation regarding this idea.

Hi Jaap

Thank You for writing to me.  I can understand why you are frustrated.  I traveled from the US to Belgium to Dr. De Smet to have my hip resurfaced. I did not have health insurance and could not afford surgery in the US. Dr. De Smet is a great surgeon and has done over 2400 hip reusrfacings.

I have also heard about Dr. Bala  ( Dr. BALASUBRAMANIAN )   I have stories from 5 of his patients on this page  http://www.surfacehippy.info/hipstories.php   about 2/3 of the way down the page.  The people that have used him really like him.

I also have a handful of internet friends that went to Dr. Bose. He is very well known on the Yahoo Surface Hippy Group of over 6000+ people.  He is probably a little more expensive than Dr. Bala.

You are still very young at 46 and should try to have a hip resurfacing instead of a THR.  Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you.
