Short stay ward. All went well got bhr despite AVN. Talk again when I home, physio just turned up boo hoo lol

Welcome to the other side steve. Mr Treacy will always try to install a BHR whenever he can so you getting one even with AVN does not supprise me at all. Just remember to look after yourself and rest lots eat well and ice alot!

Hi just got home, feeling not to bad, just icing at the moment.

Congrats Steve!!!  Be nice to yourself, have patience and count all the small blessings.  Day by day, week by week, it gets better.  My toughest part was sleeping. At 6 wks I was still sleeping on the couch, maybe 3 hrs at a time.  at 15 weeks now, that's a very distant memory.  It just keeps getting better!

I feel for ya mate. Lack of sleep is no fun.
Since the op I have had no trouble sleeping, first night in my own bed last night, wife had all sorts for me in case I woke up (flask, juice, biscuits, she's a star) but again apart from a bit of trouble getting in bed I took my meds and that was me for seven hours ace. I guess I might be lucky in this, in fact I had more pain pre op.

How's the recovery going steve?

Really good mate, hip feels ace. The past few days have seen all my brusing finally come out so it is very stiff and swollen around the lower thigh and knee, I guess from the trauma of the op. If it was not for that I would be walking a bit better. Bit of  hassle getting on the toilet as I have no restrictions, but really pleased so far mate.
