BHR via trochanteric osteotomy

Morning.

Has anyone experienced having a Birmingham Hip Resurfacing via this method? It’s the preferred method for my consultant as it allows him the best access to position the implants accurately. It also preserves muscle and soft tissue, so I’m told

Hi,

I am scheduled to have my hip resurfaced on 30th January via this method.
I’m in the UK and using Prof Damien Griffin as the surgeon.
I believe what you have said is correct although initially the recovery is slightly longer. No weight baring for 6 weeks but after this time you are then good to go.
When and where is your surgery?
