I have it set up so you can vote twice. Try and go in and vote again.  Sorry, I have not worked with the polls too much.  Maybe it won't let you vote twice in the same category.  I don't know how to make the poll work any different.  I don't have any way to program the code for a poll.  The polls come as part of the discussion group software.

Perhaps the easy way is to re-word the question to read "how old were you when you had your first hip resurfacing?"

I had my right hip done at age 63 and my left done a fortnight ago at 65. I was worried before going to the surgeon that he would not do a resurfacing because I was too old. But each time he looked at the x-rays he said that although most of the cartilage was gone, the bones were strong and in good condition, so Iwas a suitable candidate for resurfacing . I am very happy with the results.

Do you mean he cemented the acetabular cap? That would be strange and maybe not correct. If you mean the femoral component, well that is how it is usually done.

Nice thick mantle of cement, cup angle looks good, hopefully no radiolucent lines will appear over coming years.  I was too slippery, such is deemed bad luck by me.  If I get 3 years of ski racing out of the surgery then it is worth the pain and money.  Could not walk more than 200 meters before, had a great hunting season this year 6 to 8 hours of walking for 30 days.  That alone may be worth the surgery.
