Bionic, I see that we got fixed on the same day, Feb 11, 4 weeks ago to the day. I thought it might be useful to compare notes as to how you are getting on. On week 3 I made my first, hesitant steps without cane, and now I hardly use it, except for first thing in the morning when I am really stiff. Indeed, after sitting for a few minutes I get stiff and then, on getting up, I shuffle for a few steps before getting into a rhythm. My gait now is probably not much worse than my hobble before the surgery. What gets me is that I feel lie a prisoner under house arrest, there is too much snow and ice for me to get out of the house and walk, so I have to wait for my wife to get home from work and the nshe escorts me to the car and then drives me to our local ice rink which fortunately has a nice, 300yard track above the seating. Do about 7 or 8 laps of that. Yesterday did 4 laps without cane. Still can't drive, as it was my right hip and we have a standard.
Had it done in Montreal by Dr. Antoniou, ASR.
Cheers,
John
ps on another post you posited the question of whether having your catheter removed counts as sex. I guess it depends on whether you got it off by yourself!
