My surgeon is Dr. Rector over in Boulder. Surgery is exactly one month from today (but who's counting?)

I went on a short MTB ride yesterday out in Fruita and my hip really bothered me.

I am in on a white rim trip next year - that would be awesome!!

what part of the riding was a problem.i had to get the saddle hight just right on the bike i was going to work on (rigid forks) otherwiise it was aching after a mile or so. usually i felt ok when i got to work and felt the cycling was giving my hip a bit more life.

Hi Larry -

My hip bothered most when climbing - more force I guess? Some fast downhills bother it as well - probably the jarring mostly.

I am still going to ride as much as I can until the surgery!

Hey CeeJay,
      I think you gave me a reply, on an inquiry I had.  I had LBHR (4-15-10), with Dr. Rector in Boulder.  I live in Crested Butte and am starting to become a MTB but have some difficulty in starting (altitude and not being in shape).  Recovery is great and walking at altitude is great but MTBing has been tough for me.  Not being a previous avid biker probably has alot to do with it.  Anyway thanks for your previous advice and good luck on your surgery.....from my experience I know you're in good hands with Dr. Rector.
