Hi everyone...I am a year+ post op--and feeling FABULOUS, by the way--and, because I'm in a clinical trial, still have to take the prophylactic antibiotics for any procedure.  I have the sheer PLEASURE of going in for my first colonoscopy in a few weeks.  With the fasting one must do the day and night before, I was concerned about taking the megadose of antibiotics because of the nausea without eating anything for 15 hours.  They suggested doing the antibiotics intravenously at the hospital an hour prior to the procedure.  Does this  circumvent the nausea?
