Hi all, I'm a 7 week post op hipster with an ASR device. I just had my 6-week post op appointment (5 hrs x 2 driving to Montreal for a 10 min appt!). All is well except the surgeon identified bony tissue growing just above the lesser trochanter. I was told that about 8% of patients experience this type of healing response. If/when I do my left hip, the option is to have the bone radiated??? before surgery to prevent this type of healing response. Anyone hear of this type of response, and any effect to future flexibility?

Oh, a funny story as part of this process (I've had a ton!). Men, don't go to the pool unless you have a good method of getting wet bathing suits off and sock on....The regular swimmers watched me struggle bare butt to get my suit off, saying nothing. But, when it came to socks, three guys offered to help. Busted me up!

Everything is funny...in 365 days!
