Had my app yesterday and everything great, xray good, can get back in gym no restrictions, have new exercises to start doing, all great except told that have gone back to work to soon ( went back Mon. just gone ) even though part time have to stand most of time at work and leg did ache at end of morning so am taking a few more weeks off !
     Asked why still getting some pain and its due to blood ozzing into muscle and tissue which causes internal bruising and to get rid of it going to gym, walking and swimming regularly is essential as can cause scaring and permanant stiffness. The ozzing can spread into groin, back, abdo.
   Went to gym today sensibly (not usually sensible) decided to start slowly so did 20mins cross trainer, 20 mins bike and 20 mins swim.
    Don't usually have to go back for further f/u but because I have hip dysplasia wants to see me again in year.

Had my 6 week follow up with my surgeon yesterday.  He told me I can lift my knee above my hip now so for the first time in 46 days I was able to tie my own shoe.  He also told me to start walking longer distances and said that if I swam every day it would probably cut my recovery time significantly.  He said walking and swimming will help break up the tightness that I think most of us deal with.
