Hi there,  I'm now 3 weeks post op with the BHR, Left hip.  I've been doing well, but I'm occassionally getting a sharp, sharp pain in the upper part of the incision on my hind-end.  It doesn't stay too terribly long, mainly when I change positions.  It's a searing kind of pain.  I had it previously following PT and the therapist said it was normal muscle pain as the muscles heal, but I'm still concerned.  Can anyone tell me if this is a normal kind of thing or should I be putting a call into my doctor?

It never hurts to call your doctor when you have an odd pain.  Keep in mind you are early in your post-op recovery.

I will tell you the first few weeks I would get a shooting pain if I moved my legs in the wrong way in bed, the pain would shoot off of my knee.
