Has anyone had resurfacing by Dr. Amstutz recently?

Has anyone had hip resurfacing by Dr. Amstutz in the last year? My husband is concerned about his ability since he is getting old.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I just posted for info on Dr Schmalzried in Dr Amstutz's office.  I originally asked for Dr Amstutz but was told he was not taking patients and was referred to Dr Schmalzried in his office.  Maybe Dr Amstutz is just over booked.  Your question does bring up something to consider as I look for a DR.

I just saw Dr. Amstutz because he did my first hip and I am part of his Ion study. He took xrays as I never went for my annual. He did mine 2 years ago this july. I am however going for my second hip on the 28th (just 10 days from now) and Dr. Schmalzried is doing it. I had age concerns as well.. ya gotta retire sometime.

For the record, I called his office and was told he is available for surgery, though takes no insurance.  It's Oct. 2010.
