Post op 16 Days Still constant pain How long does it last???

I had a THR on 2/3/11 and I have to say that without PT I would not feel as good as I do, I walk with and without a caine and going in for my next hip 3/3/11 but am pain free on side that is done except for a little tightness above the knee.

Hi Everyone, These comments have been great I had my left hip resurfaced three weeks ago and am still on one cructh with a lot of weight bearing on this crutch. But my question is when can you realistically start driving? Manual gears? Great Site and really helpfull.

I don't drive a manual car, but with a left BHR, I was able to drive an automatic at 2-3 weeks post-op. I stuck my left leg out straight so I wouldn't break the 90 degree restriction.

I had Bilateral BHR was driving auto tranny @ 4 weeks, manual @ 5 weeks
