Hi Stano,

I am sooo hoping the PRP works for you.  Is this a one-time deal or a series of injections?  Either way I hope this finally ends your pain.  I have an appointment with Dr. Gross next Tuesday so I am also hoping for good news in the way of answers.  Anyway, it'll be nice having  couple of days off this week.  I hope you too have a great turkey day!

I am stuck with just using injections for awhile until I decide if I want to go with a THR. My bones and allergies are preventing me from being able to do a BHR.  I'm bummed, but if I could get an injection that offers long-term relief, I'd be thrilled.  I'm in the holding pattern right now.  Sorry to all of you that are still suffering from pain.  Is it as bad as it was prior to your hip resurfacing?  Thanks in advance for not forgetting us who are still looking to you for your wisdom :)) Any advice on the specific kinds of injections is SOO helpful... thank you!!

Not great news for me. Consultant says it will settle on it's own!!! It won't go away it keeps reoccuring. It's very painful when it flares, and affects my walking as well. 2 Years down the line I was expecting to be doing ALL the things and more than I did before, not less. Gutted.

Have also been to see Doctor today about the pins and needles in my hands and feet that are fairly constant, and occasional numbness. He says I have peripheral neuropathy. If you google this term with DePuy ASR, it's a side effect of Cobalt poisoning!! Hope it's not that. Having some more blood tests done tomorrow. I do occasionally suffer from an upper body rash that comes and goes without explanation. It usually affects my upper torso, head and arms, and comes on suddenly. Hopefully it's not related to the hip, and I don't need a revision.
