I'd Like to Hear About More Success Stories

One more success story - I unicycled yesterday when I got home from work.  I was harrasing Ainnee about unicycling in early recovery and thought I better walk the talk, right?  Although I'm at 9 weeks, not 2 weeks.

So I hopped on and no pain in the hips, totally felt strong and comfortable, except for the seat, that's a different story.  I woke up this morning with no pain.  Before surgery if I tried to uni, I'd be in so much pain and would have the horrible nerve pain down the legs for several days afterward.  I guess I can join the circus now, huh.

Congratulations Tin. So cool.

I think you are also the one who walked 7 miles without crutches in one day - soon after surgery if I'm not mistaken... :)

Tin, that's great!  It is such a good feeling to do things that used to hurt a lot and not be in pain.  I look forward to seeing your act after you join the circus!  I'm not going to try unicycling anytime soon though...  If I remember right, Dr Gross does not want his patients to ride a regular bike (non-exercise bike) for the first 6 months - I can just imagine what he would say if I asked about the unicycle!

Good job, Tin! Maybe we will need an area for unicycle riders to post!

Nice! I raised the seat on my kids unicycle and rode it around in the back yard last summer, it aint easy! Riding one at 9 weeks is awesome. Getting on and riding it was one thing, getting off the damn thing was a whole different deal :o Good job Tin, but be carefull on that thing  ;D

I tried to start a unicycler's section, but I got tired of posting on my own my posts.

Thanks all,  I'll try to get some photos up.
