Good Morning All,

I checked with Nancy at Dr. Gross' this morning and her advice was to aggressively address the pain today with long acting and short acting Nucynta plus take Celebrex in the am and pm, and then check back with her tomorrow.  Since I am able to walk and I can balance on the operated leg, she was of the opinion I had overdone the exercising and needed to get ahead of the pain.  So it's meds and icing for me today.

Luanna, I have a call into my neurologist and will definitely ask about the Neurontin.  My headaches seem a little better while taking the Nucynta (bonus!) but the head pain is still there.

Hoping for a better day!

You are 8 weeks ahead of me, but...headaches first...if it is tension induced, try warm compresses.  If your leg pain is happening at 7 weeks post-op, I assume that you were just in for your 6 week recently.  If your new part was in the right place then, assume that it still is.  You sound like you are a bit like me--I am walking over 3 miles per day with my cane at 3 1/2 weeks post-op, feeling sore and my mind is running.  I also don't like meds.  The Nucynta might be a problem for you. I am also a Dr. G patient
