Patient Stories Needed for National AAOS Initiative

The American Academy of Orthropedic Surgeons " is preparing to launch a national campaign to illustrate the value of the care othopaedic surgeons provide their patients every day.  Right now, we are collecting inspiring stories of the millions of patients who have returned to work and to their active, full lives as a result of their access to high-quality orthopaedic care."
" Have an outstanding patient story or know someone who does Visit www.anationinmotion.org before March 23, 2012 to submit."
"The questionnaire on the site will invite your patients to answer one simple question:  "Because of my Orthopaedic care, I can_____________"
" And, in late April, we will launch the campaign and our full, public website at that same web address, so, return to that site again, to participate and read these stories. Thank you."

I found this recently from the recent AAOS meeting in San Francisco.  Probably some ortho surgeons expressed skepticism about MOM implants related to hip resurfacing at this meeting--we will know later I am sure.  Like everything nothing is perfect.  If you had a story wanting to state the outstanding ortho care you received you could submit it here.
