Piece of mind is a really important thing, especially when the rest of your body needs all the mental strength it can get during early recovery.  I was given aspirin and had lots of muscle soreness.  I think the soreness is probably just from the trauma, but I wouldn't know about clotting, other than that's a serious deal you don't want to mess around with.  Some docs prescribe the strong standard, cumadin, for thinning.  Maybe you're taking that?  I have no idea what parameters a doc is looking for to determine what thinner they should prescribe. I think Hern's got the right idea, best to call the doc.
