Hi everyone. Op went ok yesterday. Had really bad sickness due to anaesthetic and my epidural wore off a little early so yesterday wasnt fun! Feel much better today. Still sore though.

Keep getting pins and needles in my big toe but this was happenning before the op and may be unrelated

Thanks for your support everyone

Grant

Welcome to Hippydome!

Rest, ice, rest, ice, walk a little, rest, ice, rest, ice, walk a little.

Repeat every day for two weeks, with slightly long walks each day.  You won't believe how well it goes!

Congrats!

Ditto what Imgetinold said!  and be nice to yourself and take the meds for the first couple of weeks!  no need to be a hero now.  There's time for that later ;-)

Congrats and Happy Hippy Healing!

Hi Grant,

How are things progressing? I'm in for surgery tomorrow morning Australian time. Pretty nervous to be honest. Any last minute tips?

Cheers Mike

Good luck, Mike - we all had some form of the pre surgery jitters the first time. My second time my only jitters were that I would have a resurface and that the implant would be set right, otherwise I was gung ho about the whole thing. Good wishes that you'll be good and pain free afterwards .

Hi mike

Only just seen your post so I guess you've had the op now? How did it go? I am back home now and after cutting out some pain meds that were giving me sickness I am gradually improving every day. Just frustrated about not being able to do everything for myself!

Anyway. Let me know how you are getting on
