I meant to mention this a few weeks back when I first got home from hospital but forgot.
It's just a very simple thing that I found very useful to stop my foot flopping to the outside in bed after I woke up in a bit of pain one night.
I rolled a towel up and put it under the bottom sheet about 3 inches in from the edge of the matress so it formed a ridge to rest my foot against.
Its still in place 5 weeks later as its so comfortable!

I shall remember that one Mike!

Hows it going now? Are you glad you had the op?

Hi Anna,
Without a doubt I'm glad I had it. The OA pain and limping around on a sore hip made my mind up for sure.
Although I felt a bit down when Mr Treacy told me I only had a 30% of a resurfacing in April, this place made me realise that all that mattered was to be pain free and I'm 100% happy with my ceramic THR.
The way I saw it was that I've got the very best treatment my bad old bones would allow, done by one of the best in the business- how could I be unhappy with that?
One thing though, I know I'd never have seen it that way without this site!
I'm back for the 6 week check next Weds, hoping to see Ruby there-
Not too long for your appointment-I hope you get sorted out quickly and get a date to work towards, Mike.

Great idea.  I remember the pain of letting the leg flop out to the side early on after surgery.  That was bad.

Mike - I like your perspective, couldn't agree more.

That happened to me. Scared the hell out of me, I thought I'd popped it out of it's socket or something!
