4 inches and 5 inches ? McMinn obviousely isn't into small incisions. Neither is Treacey looking at the gallery pics

I'm happy to have a longer scar and a solid reliable new joint that will last for as long as I do!  I've seen too many surgeons fiddle around through a hole the size of a postage stamp and make a complete horlicks of the surgery rather than making a proper incision an doing the job properly.

Right side about 8 inches - can be hard to see after almost 2 years
Left side longer about 10 inches - seems slower to "disappear"

Both are hidden by my shorts - but a speedo  :-\

Quote9" - curved like a shark bite... at least that's what I tell the kids at the swimming pool!

For some reason I just re-read this thread.  Not sure about the pools where YOU live, but here we have to keep our swimming trunks ON.   ;D

;D Hehe... Now that you mention it, that does sounds pretty dodgy!! FYI & to put comment in some sort of context (not wanting to dig a bigger hole)... I meant the changing rooms at the swimming pool ...(not sure that's reads any better)... I'll put that shovel away - before I get too deep.
