Has anyone been helped by SAM-e?

My "good" hip had started to deteriorate. After seeing Dr. Su, he recommended a cortisone injection, which did a world of good. But that was a number of months ago and I assume the effects would have started to wear off by now. In the meantime, I had started taking 400 mg of SAM-e daily. This was after reading some of the research. It seemed rather encouraging. Presumably, it works as an anti-inflammatory and may play some role in rebuilding cartilage.

I hate to jinx myself, but so far so good. The question is: Has SAM-e worked for anyone here?
