I had the same issue with my wife. She didnt want to get a recliner b/c for one our duplex is fairly small, and also she doesnt care for them but the great thing about the  lafuma is it folds up and can be stored away and doesnt cost as much as a recliner. Once i got it she actually loved it and now it is a permament fixture. Check it out online.

I'm trying to find one of those collapsible recliners which would be a good compromise.

I got the hip attachment for my ice machine and just fired it up. Feels good!
