Femoral Head Core Decompression - How soon can I ride???

Long story short is that after having acetabular reconstruction in November 2013, that went exceedingly well, I end up with a collapse of the femoral head (~ stage 2) and will be undergoing core decompression on June 2nd.

I will be toe-tap weight bearing and my orthopedist seemed to think that using pain as my guide I could start on the stationary trainer fairly immediately. Any experience or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
