Very sorry to hear, please keep us posted on your progress.  Keep your chin up and hopefully soon you'll be doing much better.

All I can say is litigation is a bigger pain in the ass than a hip surgery.  Undoubtedly necessary at times, but it is a little version of hell.  I hope it doe snot come to that, you've been through a lot already.

By the way, is it normal to have most of my pain feeling like it is by my knee? I am worried there is something else wrong!

I am sad to learn that one of your resurfacings has failed.

I experienced pain in the region of the knee prior to my hip resurfacing so I believe your hip failing will be causing this.

Take strength from great people on here who have had successful revisions to total hip replacement or were fitted with total hip replacements initially.

Once you get a date for surgery with your chosen surgeon do your best to focus on maintaining / improving your fitness so your post-op rehabilitation moves forward as best as possible.

Good luck - several of our hippys have revised with really good results. Hope everything goes well.
