Canadian getting a revision to new Synovo acetabular cup...any others out there?

I am scheduled in January to have a revision to my right hip done by Dr. Pritchett using the Synovo cup. It won't be cheap as I'm Canadian, and I am not betting on getting a BHR revision covered by MSP healthcare - even though I am at a loss to find someone in Canada who would even try (and likely with a lot of reservations if they would).

Has anyone tried out this new unit yet? Did Medicare help cover out of country claims?
