Dr. Brockwell in Hong Kong

I live in Hong Kong and have just found out that I need to have BHR on my right hip. There seems to be only one surgeon here who performs the operation here - Dr Jason Brockwell. Has anyone any information on his record/ had BHR from him? How do I find out if he is any good?

I am sorry but I don't know about doctors in Hong Kong.

Hi Pat,
Just to follow up on my previous question...... I am 8 weeks post op after having my right hip resurfaced by Dr Brockwell here in Hong Kong with no complications. It was amazing to wake up completely pain free from the surgery!
Prior to my surgery I consulted other surgeons who just tried to convince me that the only "safe " way to go was to have THR but thanks to your website and trusting my gut instint I went for the BHR and have not looked back.

Hey! Great job on being a good patient advocate for YOURSELF! You trusted yourself you did the research and now you're going gangbusters. Your story is what keeps Pat going.

Just say no to a THR if it's possible to go HR.

Glad to hear you are doing well and without pain, it's surely amazing. I was amazed that at post-op I could lay my operated leg completly flat on the bed.
