12 Year Anniversary BHR with Dr. De Smet March 15, 2006

My BHR is 12 years old.  I have not ever had any problems with it or my hip.  The real problem is that it is doing great while the rest of my body is wishing it could also get an overhaul.  LOL 

Hip resurfacing is still a great option when you are a good candidate.  There are very few problems with hip resurfacing for most people.  There are always a few who do, unfortunately, have problems.  Fortunately, there are not many.  But when you are the person having the problems - you are very disappointed and upset.  It is important that we all support these people and try to give support.

It is also very important for the many, many people that have great results, the majority, to share their stories so others can learn about the benefits of hip resurfacing.

Thank You Dr. De Smet for a great hip that has and is serving me well.

That gave me a chuckle, Pat. I often tell people that my BHR is the best joint in my body!

Congrats!  I'm halfway there, and agree totally with you about the "rest of the body" comment.  The other hip is now showing the telltale signs of being ready as well.......
