      Hi Folks,

I am rejoining the forum after being away for a long while.

I originally joined back in 2005. I had bilateral surface arthroplasty by Dr. Paul Beaule' in 2003 on the left and 2004 on the right. Wow, 15 years! I feel pretty ok, except for sleeping on my left side at night. I have pain in the muscles and tendons due to the lateral incision approach. My left side looks very different than my right side of the hip. The scar is concave and doesn't look great. The doctors say they don't want to do any revisions since it has nothing to do with the artificial joint and there is no guarantee that altering something will help the pain.

I am wondering if anyone else has pain after so many years due to this lateral incision? I have tried a Tens machine, Solonpas, exercise, etc. I would appreciate any feedback.

Thank you,
