H1 - 4.5 year update

Finally achieved sub-20 for 5k - twice ... and a sub 1:30 half marathon.

So delighted with these results. My ceramic H1 (Prof Cobb, Charing Cross hospital, UK, Sep 2017) hip has been perfect and giving me no issues in periods of hard training and racing.

Just coming up to my 58th birthday, so starting to get back to age graded level pre hip op and OA.

My half marathon time of 1:29:45 gave me #8/332 in MV55-59 age group - not bad for a surface hippy :-)

I am racing B.A.A. 5k in Boston on Saturday and hope to be competitive in age group.

It is thrilling to be able to do this after OA and surgery and feel fully confident in my implant.

Just one of many stories on this forum that hopefully give hope to folk in those dark times of despair pre surgery.

Hi there - how are you getting on now? I am a semi competitive runner and considering the resurfacing but wondering if I can / should hold off until H1 is approved and on the market.
