I am 5 years post right hip resurface (Dr. Gross).  Have not had any problems until last 3 months. In February I severely pulled something in the piriformis region doing squats. Initially manifested in lower back tightness but eventually settled into nagging pain in buttock that radiated to knee. Tried rest for a few weeks. Didn’t go away. Tried PT/Stretching/Exercises. Still didn’t go away. In last two days it has become really painful at times, usually when I get up to walk. Ibuprofen not working like it was anymore. I go to my orthopedist next week. I didn’t really think this could be related to my hip, but now I’m not so sure. Thoughts anyone?
